We were so excited to head out to one of our favorite venues, The Red Tin Barn, for Chelsea and Kreo’s engagement session! It is so beautiful out there, especially during the fall!
From The Couple
How did you meet?
I feel like Kreo and I have spend our whole lives together… We are the same age and grew up in the same small town, so we have shared the same group of friends all throughout our childhood and teenage years. Our love story really actually began when we were in elementary school (specifically grade 4) haha. We were on and off “boyfriend and girlfriend” throughout most of our elementary and junior high years. A few years went by where we spent that time just as friends, but then it was mid way through our grade 12 year when Kreo reached out to become more than just friends again. 6 years later, we got engaged!
Engagement story
Kreo had requested that we go out for dinner on a quiet friday night, November 27 2020. There wasn’t much going on around the farm so we thought we would take advantage of the free time and take a night off of cooking. After work we both got ready to head to Whitecourt for supper, I was starving and was eager to get out the door. As we were walking out to the truck, Kreo called my name from behind me and when I turned around he was down on one knee…He had a cute speech prepared but the line that sticks in my mind to this day is “With all the uncertainty in the world right now, the one thing I know for sure is that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” I cried, he cried, it was amazing.
We were both full of so much excitement, we spent the drive to Whitecourt calling and texting friends and family to tell them about our big news. We quickly ate our supper and rushed out to my parents to surprise them. It was a night we will never forget.
