Tessa and Garret were surrounded by so much love during their beautiful country wedding in Edson, Alberta. Beautiful decor, and great vibes flowing throughout the day. We had so much fun at this wedding – they sure know how to throw a party.

Wedding theme and colours (explain the reason behind your decision):
We wanted a rustic country theme with a teal blue, browns and burlap colour scheme. I (Tessa) love teal everything but we are super laid back and just loved how the colours complimented everything.
Approximate number of wedding guests:
200
Your top 3 best moments and why:
1. Branding Ceremony
2. Speeches
3. Dance and bonfire.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
Die a happy man by Thomas Rhett. Garret heard the song driving home from work one day and came in and said I found our song and that’s how we chose it.
Your top 3 favorite wedding details (cake, flowers, dress, band, etc.) and why:
Venue- it was absolutely perfect for what we dreamed of. It was a place my family always enjoyed as the Andersons are great family friends of ours, it’s actually the first rodeo I ever brought Garret too and the first place Garret met my family. It was simple, rustic but yet extremely beautiful. We were lucky and able to spend a week camping with our friends and family there too.
Our ceremony spot was my hands down favorite part down by the McLeod River, on the antique doors, our guests walked past I had pictures of our grandparents and parents on their wedding day, as without all their love for one another ours wouldn’t be possible.
Our wagon team by Foss Irwin really made the day perfect, he brought down the groomsmen and then the bridal party, he stayed around for pictures and then gave rides to all our guests. It completed the picture perfect dream day.
Finally our branding ceremony, Garret proposed at my families branding. After that, we ordered a cattle brand in both our names that we could use to brand our own cattle one day. At the ceremony, it really felt like it was the moment when everything tied together.
Any advice to those that are planning their wedding?
Don’t get too caught up in the little things, or even the big things. Enjoy the process and do what you want only. In the end, they are only all minor details compared to what actually matters that day.
Honeymoon:
We might go on one this coming winter but for now, we are going home to enjoy our new house we just bought.
