This sunset engagement session in Edmonton is one that I’ll remember forever. Lacey & Jeff are facing a really hard time in their lives, but their energy and love for each other overpowered it all. You can read their story directly from them below – but I will say, Lacey is one of the strongest women I know. Her courage, energy, and positivity are so admirable. I know they’ll make it out of this storm and continue on to live their beautiful life together.
From the Couple
How did you meet?
I had moved to Edson and was having the worst day so I decided to come to Edmonton to get my hair done and visit some friends, on my way home I stopped to get gas and there was Jeff at the convenience store. We started talking and he made me laugh was super sweet so exchanged numbers.
Engagement Story
I had always had this fairy tale wedding and engagement in mind since I was a little girl (I mean I think that’s almost every girl lol), but as time went on and I neared 30 I didn’t think was ever going to get it. When I met Jeff I knew right away that I loved him and he was who I wanted to be with forever, but he is super reserved and I didn’t want to be like hey let’s get married after a month. In April of 2020 I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer and was having a super hard emotional day. We were driving and I had been thinking of all the things I hadn’t done yet and perhaps wouldn’t get to do when I mentioned to him about how I always dreamt of my wedding and how now with treatment and whatnot that I was likely to never have it. Without missing a beat he said “If you want to get married let’s do it” I was obviously shocked and asked him if he knew what he was saying and he replied “I know I love you and want to spend my life with you so if a wedding means that much to you then I want to do it”
Below is just a sample of their session.
