It was one cold day during this Calgary Winter Engagement session! Samera & Broden braved the cold and snow with us and went exploring through Fish Creek Park for their engagement session . Despite the cold and the knee deep snow in some places, Samera & Broden continued to have smiles and their faces – even maybe a laugh attack at one point haha.
This is just a portion of their day, to see the entire session click here.
From the couple:
How did you meet?
Originally met in high school, but reconnected again in university.
Sam loves Christmas lights, and mentioned to Broden that she’d love to become engaged under some Christmas lights. Samera grew up a few blocks away from the zoo, and always loved going to zoo lights as a kid. Sam was bugging Broden to go with her to zoo lights, and he declined each time. One night Broden told Sam to get all dressed up and get ready for a surprise night out. He took her to a fancy dinner, and told her he had an even better surprise planned after. Broden surprised Sam with a trip to zoo lights. He went skating with her (which he hates, but did anyway), ate maple syrup on a stick, and spoiled her with a bunch of other activities. At the end of the night he stopped her in front of a giant Christmas tree and gave her phone to a stranger to have a picture taken of us. He came back and dropped to one knee and said “Sam, baby, I love ya. Will you marry me?”. Sam accepted and proceeded to bawl like a baby for a half hour afterwards and walked with her hand held in front of her all the way to the car marveling at her ring. The end.
