We got all the seasons during Jessica & Mike’s spring Sky Bistro Banff wedding. It went from hot and sunny, to sleet, to full on white-out blizzard – but that’s just the normal for spring in the mountains. Last year when we first met Jessica & Mike they wanted a spring engagement session so they could incorporate lilacs into the photos. A year later at the wedding, Jessica was able to incorporate lilacs into her bouquet – we’ve never seen lilacs in a bouquet before, but we were loving it! We had such a great time at this Sky Bistro Wedding in Banff, check it out below!

From the Couple
Wedding theme and colours (explain the reason behind your decision):
We love the mountains and wanted a neutral, classic wedding look without tacky colours 😳
Approximate number of wedding guests:
41
Your top 3 best moments and why:
After the first look as we got to relax lol
Saying I do
Walking down the aisle with our parents
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
Stand by me
It is Jessica’s favorite song, and she always said she would never use it as a first dance because if anything went wrong with the marriage it would taint her favorite song in the world, so Mike said that was the first dance, as we are obviously together for life.
Your top 3 favorite wedding details (cake, flowers, dress, band, etc.) and why:
Jess- flowers … lilacs haha, the small cake was THE BEST and I feel bad that no one got any, and the windows at the gondola.
Mike – his suit, venue, and the company
Any advice to those that are planning their wedding?
Hire you guys! [AWE thank you guys] Hire a planner, as it makes it so easy. Don’t stress as nothing can be changed and it makes the day that much better. AND don’t spend a lot on the dress as beautiful as you feel it is when it’s done you realize wow that was a lot for a small amount of time, I would have looked at more sales if I went back.
Honeymoon:
Puerto Adventuras, 11 nights, it was extremely relaxing. We unplugged and enjoyed the sun, each other and the time away from reality.
