We were so excited when Brittanee and Shawn asked us to be their photographers for their intimate wedding at Canyon Ski Hill. I’ve known these two for years from back in my hometown. Seeing them together and this happy after all these years just completely made my day.
Below is just a small sample of their day.

Wedding theme and colours (explain the reason behind your decision):
We love simple and natural. We choose the classic white with soft pink. He wore a dark blue which set off the the pink and white so beautifully. We are very much outdoorsy people so we imagined our wedding to be outside, rustic and intimate. We especially love snowboarding so having it a ski hill was a dream come true.
Approximate number of wedding guests:
14
Your top 3 best moments and why:
That my brother and papa could walk me down the aisle.
That Shawns sister could marry us.
Our whole families smiles there supporting and loving us.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
Awe at all angles- Moon tooth – Acoustic — It’s different. Soothing ( Shawns song)
I will be -Leona Lewis — Her voice and those lyrics give me goosebumps. I can relate with the words
Your top 3 favorite wedding details (cake, flowers, dress, band, etc.) and why:
Launa Tenney – Flowers, this Ladie is hands down the best. She is so kind and has the biggest heart and creates the most beautiful things. I am so happy we have this as a keepsake now. She is a local from Edson that has been very generous to the community.
My dress- seriously sooo fun, all smiles. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the short dress style and how it suited me. I am so happy as I didn’t buy the traditional dress and it turned out so magically. Such a princess.
Shawns suit- He looked sooo sharp!! I couldn’t stop staring at him. Huge shout to Jensens it’s local shop that been in our small town for many years. They are so helpful and made his outfit come together full flawlessly.
Bonus: The ring holder. So special. Found the Red wood in California when we were adventuring last fall and then my papa helped us create it!! He also helped make the donut holder, which is so cool we got donuts from the Donut mill because when my mom lived in RD we would always go there and treat ourselves.
Any advice to those that are planning their wedding?
Enjoy it. Embrace all the memories with your family and friends as they help you plan and support your big day. That was my fav.
Having help is a must. Give people jobs they are more then happy to help and it helps you focus on other tasks or even just relax more. Buy things second hand. Tons of brides sell things they don’t use or only used for that one day and it’s much cheaper. This way you can leave your wedding stress free about all the extra costs.
Honeymoon:
Oooo so many options. With everything going on we have really been leaning towards a snowboard trip to Whistler BC.
