Chaylene & Randy braved the cold for their Mill Creek Ravine engagement. It was totally freezing outside, the roads were garbage, but these two were just so excited – they’re weren’t going to let winter win!
Below is just a sample of their session – to view the entire gallery click here.
From the Couple
How did you meet?
We met in high school. We took the same bus actually. And we found out that we grew up on farms 10 km away from each other. We were friends for over a year before dating in Nov 2010.
Tell us your engagement story.
This is a funny one!! Because of the back story! Enjoy the novel lol.
So Randy had been planning for ever! To save money he would get $20-$40 cash back every time he got gas to save for a ring so that I wouldnt notice money missing. LOL. So then he found someone to hand make my ring and the guy STOLE HIS MONEY!!!!!
So then he went to our best friends (best man and maid of honour) and they helped him find a new ring and order it. While I was away on a work trip they made a plan.
So on Sept 17, I was at kickboxing and had the house torn up because I was heading to Grande Prairie for work. I was bustling around the house getting all my stuff packed up and my friend Kaitlyn (maid of honour) was like “Chay my fish had babies come see this” so I go in her room and she’s trying to show me these imaginary babies! I’m getting a little frustrated “Kaitlyn I cannot see your fish.” And she keeps trying to make me look. My beagle Ivory came in the room and Kaitlyn was kicking her out which was unusual but I didn’t think anything of it so I kicked her out too. Kaitlyn kept trying to get me to watch these fish and I went to walk away. She said “Chay come here” so I roll my eyes and go back. She was telling me about how her snails were stuck together and asked what to do. In my head I’m thinking “lady I’m not a fish doctor” then Nick (best man) said “Chay there is something in Ivory’s collar come look. When I went to her I was scared thinking someone hurt my baby. There was a tag on her collar that said ‘turn around’ and when I did there was Randy in one knee asking if I’d marry him! We’re here so of course I said yes!
