This winter engagement session with Chantel and David was filled with genuine happiness, smiles, and love. We had so much fun with them, their laughter is contagious. We got to explore an area of Fish Creek Park with a frozen waterfall right in the city.
Below is just a sample of their day, to view the whole session, click here.
Here’s a few words from them couple themselves!
How did you meet?
David and I were brought together through the magical world of online dating lol. Within one week of starting to talk to each other he asked me out on a date. We met at the Remedy Cafe near the University of Alberta, an equal distance between us. What started out as a nervous beginning ended up being a wonderful 4 hours of chatting and getting to know each other. Although we didn’t want the date to end, we had to part ways. Before we did though he told me “I had such a nice time with you, would you want to get together again?”. Of course I said yes and the rest as they say is history.
Engagement Story:
We had gone to Jasper to celebrate our 4 year anniversary together. On the second to last day we took a scenic boat tour out to Spirit Island, on the middle of Maligne Lake. Once there we made our way up to the lookout point which offered spectacular views. It was much too crowded so | decided it wasn’t the right moment. We made our way back down to the beach and took some more photos. Noticing the lookout point was far less crowded I asked Chantel to join me back up there, under the premise that we hadn’t taken a picture of us. She begrudgingly followed me back up and let another tourist snap a couple photos of us. She looked away to admire the view and turned back around to find me on one knee holding an engagement ring in my hands. I asked, she said yes and we both hugged and kissed one another in celebration.
