For this Whitemans Pond engagement session, Brittany and Brody drove all the way from Whitecourt to meet us, along with their little pup Kito. Kito didn’t want anything to with us – but we can’t blame him, there was so much to explore. Mountainside, beautiful water, forest areas, this location was gorgeous and Kito just wanted to see it all haha.
The below is just a sample of their day, if you want to see the whole session, click here
From the couple:
How did you meet?
Brody and I grew up together and went to the same school. We started dating in grade 12 – high school sweethearts!
Engagement Story:
Brody and I got engaged on October 14 in Lake Louise. We were deciding on plans for the weekend and Brody suggested we go on a road trip to get away, since work was crazy busy at the time. He wouldn’t tell me where he wanted to go, just that we were leaving Friday afternoon after he got off work and left a list of things to pack including hiking gear. That night we drove to Jasper, had a really nice dinner and stayed at the Sawridge. I thought maybe Jasper was our destination but then he said we have to be up early because we have a couple hour drive. Saturday morning we ended up at Johnston Canyon to hike the falls. We hiked all the way up to the upper falls, and on our way down Brody noticed a little goat trail that lead to the top of a lower fall. We climbed down that sketchy trail and on top of the waterfall the view was beautiful! Brody dug in his hiking bag and pulled out a pair of socks – we both started laughing. He then pulled out the most beautiful ring from this sock and got down on one knee! (He didn’t want me to see the box as he was packing his bag). There was laughter, happy tears, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! And to top it off, he had booked us a room (with a view) at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise! It was the absolute best weekend of our lives! 🙂
