Brittany and Brody’s Whitecourt wedding was so beautiful and romantic. It also defied the odds – it previously rained for days on end before the wedding date, but their day was filled with sunshine. We had so much fun during their wedding – we got a lot of dog cuddles too!

Wedding theme and colours (explain the reason behind your decision):
White, black accents, some wood accents, and greenery. I wanted a simple fresh look with an outdoorsy vibe. We loved the idea of an outdoor tent wedding but there were so many “what if’s”, so we tried to create our tent wedding inside a reception hall.
Approximate number of wedding guests:
170
Your top 3 best moments and why:
Setting up the ceremony in the pouring rain the night before with everyone helping and getting soaked. It really showed what great friends and family we have.
Brittany walking down the aisle. The reality of our wedding day set in at that very moment. She looked so beautiful
Our first dance. It was a moment of relief and satisfaction that are now married. It was so nice to have that moment alone.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
First dance: Pushing Up Daisies by Brothers Osborne.
Something about this song just hit home for us. As soon as we heard it we knew it was our song. It’s about loving each other until the very end. “We’ll grow old & wild, and I’ll still be calling you baby”
Your top 3 favorite wedding details (cake, flowers, dress, band, etc.) and why:
The florals! All the beautiful florals! They were absolutely perfect and far exceeded my expectations! All the greens were perfect.
Our led neon Richards sign behind the head table! It was such a cool element
Our wedding signage that was handmade with love from my dad.
Any advice to those that are planning their wedding?
The day is over before you know it, try not to let the little things stress you out. Plans will change last minute and that’s okay. Make sure you surround yourself with people who will positively influence your day, and who are just as excited as you.
Honeymoon:
We went to Jamaica and stayed at the Sandals Montego Bay resort. We are so happy we decided to go on our honeymoon right after our wedding. A couple detours to get there, but we made the best of it! Montego Bay was absolutely beautiful, and we had the most relaxing vacation!
